We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our well established manufacturing company based in the Norwich. The Maintenance Engineer will be working on a permanent nights shift.

The Role

- The role will be primarily shift based and hands on with respect to Preventative Maintenance schedules. Reporting to the engineering manager you are responsible for ensuring any tasks carried out by yourself are completed to best possible methods and in accordance with current regulations and company policy on Health and Safety, Quality, Hygiene, Housekeeping delivery and Cost.
- Your key responsibilities will be to provide Electrical and Mechanical support to ensure performance of all production and automation machinery are running at their optimum capacity.
- You will maintain accurate and timely records with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance work to ensure all work loads have been completed to the best of your ability and to a strict deadline.
- You role will be to undertake a lot of continuous improvement and project work , specifically looking at increasing productivity and reducing machine down time .
- Ensuring that company procedures and effective controls are followed and implemented with respect to maintenance costs in order to deliver plant cost performance targets
- You will be accountable for providing a fast and efferent response time to any breakdowns that occur, provide routing service maintenance across the site whilst ensuring all the company procedures and standards are followed.
- Also encouraging, supporting and managing active participation in continuous improvement activities throughout the whole production and facilities site.

The Candidate

- The successful candidate will have completed an engineering apprenticeship/ HNC/HND/ONC or equivalent in electrical Engineering.
- A high standard of electrical/ mechanical knowledge will be required for this position, this will ideally be gained from a Packaging, Food, FMCG or automotive , other industries will be considered.
- This position will be suitable for a dynamic, highly organized, team player looking to join a well established leader in the manufacturing sector.

This Position will suit a Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer , Maintenance Engineer, Technician, Shift or Line Engineer.

£42,200 per annum
