International retailer requires an experienced Procurement Manager (indirects) for their operations in Buckinghamshire.

You will have responsibility for 29 categories that will cover Utilities, Professional Services, Insurance, IT & Related Services for multiple sites across UK.

The focus of the role will be to drive commercial value on service contracts and performance from new and existing suppliers.

Responsibilities:

- Manage existing service deals, with focus on continuous improvement &
development of long term category strategies.
- Review of opportunity analysis, using stakeholder feedback & robust
benefit calculation for prioritising new and existing `project delivery.
- Analysis of spend to allow more effective spend, with clear focus on total
cost of ownership, quality & service.
- Continuous improvement & uptake strategies with all suppliers, leading
quarterly reviews with clear targets and KPIs
- Development of reporting tools, allowing for gap and spend analysis,
performance measurement, etc.

Skills / Experience:

- Graduate with CIPS or studying for CIPS (MCIPS Qualification would be
beneficial)
- Indirect Spend purchasing experience gained within a professional
environment – ideally food retail, leisure or distribution
- Good understanding and appreciation of professional procurement with a
focus on supplier relationship management
- Strong organisational and time management skills; able to prioritise
effectively and meet demanding deadlines.
- Experience of negotiating and managing service contracts
- Previous experience of analysing and using data to drive supplier facing
projects
- Previous exposure to working in a franchise environment, or compatible,
multiple stakeholder matrix structure environment (desirable, but not
essential)
- Experience of contract performance programmes (desirable, but not
essential)
- Experience of working cross-functionally to deliver improvement projects
on-time and within budget (desirable, but not essential)
