Ocado is the world’s largest dedicated online grocery retailer having built a pioneering online shopping and fulfilment solution that has revolutionised the way people buy groceries and now Beauty and wellbeing with the launch of ‘Fabled by Marie Claire’. It is extending its retail offer through a series of standalone destination non food businesses.

The Marie Claire Beauty team are focused on developing and extending this business and are looking for future facing individuals with the ability to think on their feet at what potential future acquisitions could be.

Job Purpose
To provide the Buying team with efficient administrative support, and play a supportive role in delivering an inspirational, authoritative and profitable assortment.

Roles & Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to Buying team
- Actions all the required processes throughout Sku set up, supporting suppliers in this process
- Timely uploading of product information onto various Ocado internal systems, ensuring they are updated accurately. Systems include RMS, Supplier Funding Management System, 5One, Master Sales, Connect, PIC, Promotional System and KPI reports
- Management of promotional input onto Ocado Systems including checking, amending, terminating and reviewing internal reports to ensure accuracy and deadlines are met
- Responsible for the management of Buying Office samples.
- Supports Buyer in preparation for strategy meetings with suppliers, and internal range review meetings
- Builds relationships and communicates with internal, cross-functional and external stakeholders to support the Buying team
- Builds effective long term relationships with suppliers.
- Follows up with suppliers promptly, answers any queries efficiently and updates information on internal systems
- Has a full understanding of the Buying strategy and seeks opportunities to encourage stakeholders to maximise.
- Demonstrates strong commercial awareness of the market place and key competitors.
- Interprets trade results to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Has a full understanding of the Buying strategy and seeks opportunities to encourage stakeholders to maximise.
- Actively inputs in trend and competitor analysis, making recommendations for changes, innovation or newness to assortment.
- Makes responsibility and reacts quickly to customer complaints or products issues with technical faults or Health and safety issues, working with merchandise standards team to resolve.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Plans and prioritises time effectively, adapting where necessary, requiring no prompting.
- Proven administrative experience, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring information is accurate
- Strong PC skills, with particular strengths in MS Office, especially Word and - Excel to intermediate level
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise and organise effectively
- Proven experience of working to deadlines, in a high pressure environment
- Experience of working in a team environment, with willingness to get involved when needed in tasks outside of your normal remit
- Commercial acumen – basic understanding of KPI deliverables
