Do you have experience working in a warehouse / stores environment?
Do you have experience with electrical/electronic and /or mechanical widgets, preferably widgets ranging in size and type from, for example, fixings, washers, filters, machined metal parts, fine glassware, motors, ducting, fans, control units, and lengths of extrusion.
Do you have experience with computerized carousel storage systems will have an advantage. Our goods are stored in Lean Lifts

Essential Qualifications & Skills:
Maths & English GCSE C grade/ O level or equivalent
Must be computer literate and have experience of computerised stock systems. (We use Microsoft Navision.)
Must speak clear fluent English
Counterbalance fork lift licence and trained in other lifting equipment
Full UK manual driving licence (with no more than 3 points on)

Training
You will be given induction training so that you see all the functions of our factory. You will receive training on Navision and the Lean lifts – our computerised MRP stock system/ our carousel storage systems. You will be trained in the stores functions.

Job Description
Picking of electrical and mechanical parts to a printed picking list. Booking from stock using computerised MRP system. Creating shortage lists. Organising picked parts into order for assembly department.
Driving counter balance fork truck, using stacker and pallet trucks. Un-loading and loading of lorries and putting stock away. Loading goods into Lean lifts.
Re-stocking internal stock bins to fulfil Kanban requirements.
Receiving goods, checking quantity and quality. Booking in using MRP system. Putting parts away.
Picking and packing parts for spares orders. Packing into cardboard boxes for daily UPS collection. Careful handling of those parts that are very fragile / expensive.
Counting stock items, identification of parts and assisting with reconciliation.
Assisting, when required, with the packing of finished systems onto pallets.
Driving a range of company vans and cars. Collection and delivery of various parts.
Occasional light mechanical assembly work.

Tools & Clothing
All necessary tools and safety equipment are provided.
Uniforn provided – including safety shoes.

Remuneration package
Basic annual salary for 39.5 hrs per week £20-22,000
Hours of work:
Monday: 12:45 – 17:15
Tuesday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:15
O/T at 1.5 basic hourly rate (over 39.5 basic hrs per week) – It is essential you are prepared to work overtime.
Overtime, when required, is worked Monday mornings, earlier starts/later finishes. Occasional weekend work is required.
Pension, life assurance, after qualifying probationary period (6 months)
Private healthcare and increased pension contributions after further qualifying period (2-3 years)
33 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays – per calendar year. Holiday entitlement rises with length of service
