Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a prestigious, well known PLC business in Sheffield as they look to strengthen their team with the hire of a Supply Chain Manager to oversee a team of 4.

You will be a key member of the Finance department, responsible for managing supplier relationships as well as the authorised vendor list. This is an influential role with regular interaction with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

Duties will include:

• Effective and ongoing management of all supplier relationships
• Negotiating and managing supplier rebate agreements and defining terms and conditions for contracts
• Management of the authorised vendor list
• Management of the Supply Chain team. SMART objectives set for direct reports and ensure that effective systems and processes are developed, implemented and are fully complied with, to drive change and sustained profitable growth in the business
• Support the Commercial Finance Manager in producing financial information for weekly/ monthly reports
• Overseeing supplier statement reconciliations
• Escalated contact for dealing with any supplier complaints
• Managing goods inwards process and stock for the business
• Work closely with IT department to develop systems within the department
• Training, mentoring and recruitment of staff within the department
• Providing staff with regular 121s and appraisals to aid development

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

• A proven track record in an AP or Supply Chain management role
• Demonstrable understanding of complex organisations and key business issues
• Experience of managing teams
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build, develop and influence relationships
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to identify and drive process change and improvement
• Ability to negotiate skilfully in tough situations with both internal and external stakeholders
• Highly numerate with a strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reporting within tight timescales and challenging deadlines
• Energised, confident, resilient and self-aware
• Ability to work at pace, under pressure, with concurrent priorities and under own initiative
• Pro-active, visible, self-motivated and passionate about completing tasks to the highest standard
