Our client is a local Health and Safety Consultancy providing a "one stop shop" for all environmental services, testing, sustainability and analysis requirements for Clients throughout the South East. They are currently looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will promote the work of the company primarily with respect to geotechnical and contaminated land works.

To be considered for the role candidates must have Geotechnical Site Investigation experience relating residential developments, prior to the start of the building work

Main Responsibilities
Assist with the growth of the geo-technical business and manage assistant consultants associated with these works

Undertake geotechnical drilling services and provide consultancy advice for all clients

Manage ground investigations

Scheduling /programming works

Preparation of technical reports including borehole logging to BS5930

Arranging chemical analysis

Compile risk assessments, environmental bank appraisal reports, and pre-development meeting reports

Implement and manage the quality procedures and safety procedures for geotechnical drilling services

Carry out phased contaminated land investigations including devising remediation strategies for the purpose of discharging contaminated land conditions.

High level of organisation
Geo-technical qualification (or equivalent experience)
Understanding of BS5930, geological mapping, geo-technical ground investigation works
Understanding of CLR11, CLEA Model, NPPF, C665, Part IIA, BS10175, EQS,
GAC's, C4SL's, S4UL's,

Experience of working in the field of geotechnical drilling and investigations and contaminated land investigations is desirable but, not essential.
