We are currently representing a role as an Information’s Systems Administrator for a wholesale exporter of British groceries based in North East Lincolnshire.

Reporting to the Head of Information Systems, responsibilities will include:
• Be proactive with maintenance to keep downtime to an absolute minimum.
• Handle disaster recovery systems and techniques to enable business continuity in the event of internal and external incidents.
• Negotiating with external suppliers to achieve the most cost-effective pricing and implementation.
• Assisting senior company management in the creation of regular budgets and cost reviews.
• Schedule onsite backup routines ensuring they are regularly completed successfully, also maintain offsite backup
• Evaluate the use if cloud environment
• Maintain existing virtualised environment and using fault tolerant and highly available server technologies to maximum benefit
• Scope procurement requirements and competitive negotiation for supply within agreed budgets
• Assist, when necessary, the distribution of appropriate hardware including laptops, desktops, tablets, printers and mobile phones together with supporting peripherals.
• Develop policy for operating system and key software version roll out.
• Ensure site wide transparent WiFi infrastructure at business premises allowing users to be as mobile as possible around the business premises with continued access to business systems and internet connectivity.
• Prevent data leakage in accordance with a company rule set allowing the company control over the loss of sensitive commercial information.
• Resolve client issues using formalised business support structure, applying industry standard methodologies where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain monitoring of systems to assist proactive maintenance.
• Assist the Head of Information Systems in the development of new mechanisms, both hardware and software, for all future systems
• Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by line manager or member of the Executive Team.

To be successful in this role, the candidate would preferably:
• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work as part of a team
