Semi-skilled Mechanical Fitter – Based in North Somerset

Mechanical Assembly / Mechanical Fitter

Shift rates ranging from £10.01 - £19.82 per hour (PAYE) including holiday pay and fantastic overtime rates

This well-established business has recently won a wide range of high value projects in several sectors and are now looking to deliver those effectively over the next 6 months. As a contractor, you will become part of the team and engaged on this project from start to finish. The Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the following.

*
100% mechanical assembly and fitting

*
Working from Engineering drawings

*
Assembly of simple mechanical parts used in mechanical systems

*
Assembly of variety of components including piping, mechanical parts, fabricated parts, casings, bracketry and other mechanical parts

*
All using hand tools

*
Adhere to the company’s quality standards

*
The fitter will need to avoid mistakes to ensure that they don’t have to rebuild the parts again

The candidate must possess the following skills to be considered for this role:

*
A practical engineer that enjoys building mechanical parts

*
Previous experience in the assembly of mechanical machinery / systems

*
Industries could include machinery build, automotive, power generation, process – ideally a manufacturing background

*
Capability to read engineering drawings – predominately assembly & sub-assembly drawings

*
Flexible approach to all tasks – willing to get stuck into a wide range of duties

*
Desire and ability to learn

*
Ideally a mechanical qualification

*
Good work ethic
