THIS CONTRACT WITH CCS IS INSIDE IR35

Background:
Crown Commercial Service (CCS) brings together policy, advice and buying services, providing commercial services to the public sector and saving money for the taxpayer through a single organisation. This enables us to make savings for customers in both central government and the wider public sector, achieve maximum value from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery for common goods and services across government. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 will come into force on 25 May 2018 and apply to organisations controlling or processing personal data. The aim of the GDPR is to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches. Whilst established key principles of data privacy remain relevant in the GDPR, a number of changes will apply to commercial arrangements with suppliers. The GDPR will apply to new contracts let from 25 May 2018 and to existing contracts let prior to May 2018 and continuing thereafter. Crown Commercial Service will need to review its practices and processes to ensure compliance before the new laws take effect and we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic project manager to work with the organisation to champion GDPR and increase the level of knowledge and understanding within the business of information security and data protection, and to bring rigour to a cross-organisation project to embed these principles.

Purpose:
CCS is implementing a Document Management Solution. Key to the success of the project is the quality of our data prior to migration. Our GDPR compliance efforts require us to validate the data we currently retain, across all our systems and services. The Data Cleanser will work within the Service Assurance Team and will be responsible for Data Quality during the roll out of our Document Management Solution, and associated housekeeping tasks across all our other systems that contain Personally Identifiable Information or Special Data as defined by the GDPR.

● A requirement to identify and cleanse data - including but not limited to deduplication, validation, correction and deletion in line with internal policies.
● Working closely with business teams in analysing data to determine duplicates, invalid data, etc. and undertake required remedial actions.
● Work with the Service Assurance team to develop and deliver the data cleansing and migration plan including risks, milestones, and quality and business sign-off details.
● Work with key stakeholders in the project to develop the timeline for the data cleansing, migration and preparation activities.
● Monitor and report progress of the data migration and cleansing plan.
● Identify issues and risks within the data migration activities and help develop and agree mitigation and responses with the Service Assurance team.
● Attend and contribute to regular project meetings.
● Where there are integration and interface points understand data usage and implications for data cleansing and migration.
● Assist in designing, planning and managing the data cleansing and migration
approach and processes including validation schemes to ensure accuracy, quality and integrity of all data.
● Help develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data cleansing and migration activities.
● Perform any related data cleansing and migration activities and tasks

SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
● Excellent organisational skills, the ability to meet strict deadlines, well motivated and capable of working in a pressured environment.
● Excellent communication skills, proven customer service experience and the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.
● Fully computer literate in the MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite and a general aptitude for working with different IT systems. Experience of CRM such as salesforce and data warehouse systems would be an advantage.

Qualifications, Education, Experience and Training
● Strong analytical skills.
● Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
● Stakeholder and relationship management experience within a complex business environment
● Knowledge of technical/digital project management is preferable but not essential
