Senior Security Specialist –Global Insurance Company – London/East of England

A leading insurance provider is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to join their expanding team. You will be part of the Security advisory team, working within the CISO department. A key focus of the role is to provide specialist guidance and advice on a variety of information and cyber security matters. You will be involved in a variety of projects, performing risk assessments and security designs. You will represent the CISO department in various forums, dealing with a range of business areas, and have the opportunity to communicate with senior business leaders, front-line staff and technology experts.

Key Accountabilities

·Work closely with the IT and Business teams, providing expert consultancy and advice on technical security matters

·Work closely with the design and change teams, ensuring that new systems are secure

·Undertake technical security risk assessments when conducting change activities, and once risks have been identified, providing advice for appropriate mitigation

·Organise penetration tests, and provide support to development teams on mitigating options

Key Requirements

·Proven experience in an information security field

·Knowledge of secure development cycle methodologies, particularly in Digital and Agile environments

·Understanding of application security practices and integration with IT change processes

·Prior experience of working with Identity and Access Management design and deployment, including segregation of duties and role based access control

·Understanding of PKI and cryptography fundamentals, including design and deployment of key management processes

·Knowledge of risk management principles and assessment methodologies, for example, IRAM2

·Prior experience of performing technical risk assessments, preferably of complex IT systems

·Understanding of security methodologies and frameworks, for example, ISF and ISO
