For this post, you must be a self-assured and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant who is able to deal with poor behaviour quickly and effectively. The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is able to lead their students with their exemplary attitude, becoming a role model for them to look up to. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have the ability to present and adapt their ideas clearly and effectively to both students and staff alike. It is essential for the selected SEN Teaching Assistant to have previous experience of working with pupils with additional needs in an educational setting.

In this SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will be supporting the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the school. Responsibilities of the selected SEN Teaching Assistant will include leading 1:1 and small group intervention classes to aid the teaching of pupils with learning difficulties. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supported directly by the SENCO, and you will be responsible for liaising with class teachers and parents to deliver effective SEN provision.
