A new venture formed through a Google partnership and endorsed by the IPA. The company’s aim is to attract the future talent of the Digital Marketing and Advertising sector through online training programmes. The programmes deliver training in all the areas sought by digital marketing agencies, advertisers and entrepreneurs.

This is a full-time graduate job. Starting salary: £21k.

Day-to-day activities will include:

The community coordinator will be the principal point of contact for an entire cohort of students (c. 200), and will be expected to identify questions and problems raised by the students and find solutions or escalate appropriately.
The community manager will manage the list of all students enrolled in the cohort and monitor progress in terms of progression and submission completion. This will involve:
•Engaging with students directly via email or phone call, where necessary.
•Distribute and curate industry and student content, for distribution internally and externally.
•Engage with the students through online forums.
•Ensure the students are aware of all instructions, guidelines and deadlines for submission of assignments.
•Be responsible for creating a manual report of student progression each week for your cohort.
During the live classes which are currently held twice a week in the evenings the community manager will be responsible for supporting the tutors on the ‘chat box’ messenger window, answering any questions and bringing any issues to the attention of the tutor. The community manager will also work closely with the learning technology team to set up the equipment and software before each class and ensure a smooth delivery.
An essential part of the role will be to create a sense of ‘community’ between the students and the tutors, by encouraging the students to participate and engage in live classes, group work, assignments and on-going student forums using the available tools such as the Moodle Forum, Chat Boxes in Adobe Connect and Social Media such as Twitter and Google+.
The community manager will be required to support the tutors in the research, conceptualisation and production of classes and class materials. For example, they may be required to research data and produce a series of graphs to illustrate an industry trend for a class.

Key candidate requirements for the role:

•The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and orally, with an interest in digital marketing and education, and a willingness to learn and embrace new skills.
•This role most suits a recent graduate passionate about education and wants to get involved in a cutting edge online education program.
•The team is made up of great professional trainers who have all had strong careers in advertising and creative agencies and who share a passion for empowering today’s and tomorrow’s leaders to drive the industry revolution. Around 2,000 students per year will be studying this intensive 6 month graduate qualification in digital marketing.
•Ideally, candidates will be energetic, hard working with a passion for marketing and education. Such a candidate would need to have great listening and communication skills as there will be a lot of student interaction, be flexible and able to work under pressure, and have an eagerness and confidence to support the delivery of top level learning outcomes.
