Position Summary:

To take a system based approach to find and embed efficiencies in the flow of accurate information.

To analyse and improve the flow of information from stakeholders such as Sales, Engineering and Quality and ensure this reaches manufacturing cells in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To assess effectiveness of working practices and systems, develop process knowledge and improve systems via focused studies, data driven analysis and report generation.

To provide administrative support to a busy Production and Engineering team across two sites and to improve the flow of engineering information relating to works orders, process monitors, inspection data and engineering drawings etc.

To improve the accuracy of information processed across the business. To seek out efficiencies in the processing of data. To analyse and identify any bottle necks before drawing conclusions and implementing appropriate control measures.

To ensure the adoption of modern "lean" tools and techniques and be both a coach and champion within a manufacturing team.

Manage and facilitate the timely and efficient delivery of technical project improvements that are key to strategic growth.

To assist in the delivery of the company Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems.

Ensure that all products are manufactured within the scope of agreed quality, delivery and cost requirements by standardizing all processes.

Evaluate the effectiveness of all new process improvement initiatives. Continuously develop knowledge of technologies relevant to the business and drive process improvements through this understanding.

Understanding top level production plans then creating, managing and delivering detailed activity plans that enable top level production objectives to be met.

Standard Responsibilities

To participate in the company performance management system and maintain a personal development plan.

To ensure the confidentiality and security of all information processed during the course of employment in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent legislative revisions and additions.

To be aware of personal responsibilities under Health and Safety regulations and attend appropriate training. To maintain Health and Safety focused projects.

To co-operate with risk assessments and ensure that risks are identified and reported as they arise and attend appropriate training.

To be aware of and adhere to policies and procedures applicable to the role.

To perform any reasonable duty which lies within the boundaries of your capability.

To comply with any and all reasonable requests made by management.

To ensure the confidentiality and security of all confidential information, this will require knowledge and adherence to the company rules on confidentiality, customers and supplier non-disclosure agreements, Export Control Regulations, ITAR requirements and all other such requirements in accordance with Company policies and procedures, the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent legislative revisions and additions
