Service Design Architect (Service Architecture, Design, Transition, Delivery) A leading UK FTSE 100 provider of IT Solutions and Services are looking to hire a talented Service Design Consultant / Architect to join a rapidly expanding and ground-breaking IoT transformation programme. The Service Design Consultant / Architect (Service Architecture, Design, Transition, Delivery) will have a unique opportunity to play a huge part in the world's first rollout of smart meters, designed to change the way in which the UK consumes energy. Responsibilities for the Service Design Architect (Service Architecture, Design, Transition, Delivery): Take a lead role in the design of IT services demonstrating a high level of understanding with respect to customer drivers, customer requirements, contractual agreements, service architecture and service management. Translating customer requirements and contractual obligations into a Service Design that describes the scope of services, delivery model(s), people, processes, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and supporting Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) to provide the basis for transition into BAU Production of a Service Model to support Operational teams in the delivery of IT services Works closely with Project Management to lead on service elements of delivery to enable the transition the service into live production. Works closely with the Operations Transition to ensure that implemented or changed services are capable of delivering to target service levels and performance indicators. Supports the project manager in understanding any service risks, dependencies and issues that exist and the impact that these may have on the project, whilst mitigating those within their scope. Champions service management and associated processes and procedures within the organisation, operating within the ITIL frameworks and compliant with ISO2000 Experience for the Service Design Architect (Service Architecture, Design, Transition, Delivery): Extensive experience in E2E service designing, developing and implementing sustainable and scale-able service management processes and procedures from scratch. Experience in selecting and applying service management principles, policies and techniques in client operational environments. Customer focussed with ability to identify and understand the (internal and/or external) needs. Displays a high degree of knowledge relating to service management and TSM toolsets Experience of working at a senior Operations management level. Good experience as a service architect/consultant with excellent design experience ITIL Manager or ITIL V3 Expert and ISO/IEC 20000 consultant qualifications are desirable. Creative problem solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify develop and implement solutions to gaps to meet the needs of the business. A self-starting individual with a strong work ethic capable of planning and managing own time effectively. Ability to perform under pressure and to work using own initiative as well as part of a team. Assertive in potentially difficult situations, engaging diplomacy where necessary. Able to think laterally to consider options which will optimise the requirements of the business. Able to perform peer reviews, audits, standards compliance checks and due diligence as required. Experience in operating as a Service Delivery Manager or Operations Manager Experience in customer facing roles, is desirable.
