Project Manager (Change, Transformation, Life and Pensions, Finance) A leading UK FTSE 100 provider of IT services and solutions are looking to hire a talented Project Manager (Change, Transformation, Life and Pensions, Finance) to join a rapidly expanding project services team in Manchester. Instrumental in supporting the Project management function within a Project Services environment, the Project Manager (Change, Transformation, Life and Pensions, Finance) role requires a strong, well rounded and dynamic individual with proven project management capabilities. Reporting to either a Programme or Portfolio Manager within Project Services, the Project manager will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of change and IT projects to agreed time, cost and quality standards. The Project Manager (Change, Transformation, Life and Pensions, Finance) must have a demonstrable ability to work across all levels of stakeholders and third parties within a commercial environment. Responsibilities for the Project Manager (Change, Transformation, Life and Pensions, Finance): Planning the project, agreeing the plan with project board/steering committee, and preparing detailed plans for each stage. Project initiation and definition of required deliverables and governance models. Managing the project on a day-to-day basis to deliver in line with agreed project plans. Ensuring scope, products and deliverables are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality, TCF and compliance objectives To fully document, consider and impact assess all risks, issues and dependencies relating to a project and communicate appropriately. Executing the plan, monitoring progress and taking the necessary corrective actions. Routinely engaging and communicating with key business and Client stakeholders Provide project financial and status updates as required for company governance processes. Experience for the Project Manager (Change, Transformation, Life and Pensions, Finance): A proven track record in project management ideally in the Financial Services or Life & Pensions sector; Experience of working on a range of Business Change projects in a regulated environment. Sound knowledge of project planning processes and techniques; Good knowledge of project methodology; Clear understanding of risks/issues and their impact on project success, including the definition and execution of effective risk mitigation actions. Strong stakeholder management skills - comfortable working in a client facing environment. Demonstrable ability to establish, lead, motivate and manage cross functional, multi-disciplined teams; Candidates will ideally be Prince2 qualified at either PR actioner or Foundation level, Good IT skills including use of Excel and MS Project.
