Project Manager | Architect | Design Manager | Project Leader | Project Manager Location: Kings Cross (London)COMMERCIAL MANAGERHinton Spencer are currently recruiting for an experienced ComemrcialManager for a multi-award winning British design and architecturestudio - buildings, spaces, master-plans, objects and infrastructure.The studio is looking for an experienced and motivated CommercialManager to join our dynamic Business Development and Contract team.Your responsibilities: Develop suitable fee proposals for new projects. Support or leadnegotiations with clients and collaborating consultants to achievemutually agreeable contract terms. This will entail agreeing appropriatedesign scopes, fees, drawdown schedules, risk and opportunity allowancesand expenses along with suitable contract terms. Analyse and recommend suitable fee levels based on fee benchmarkingand recognition of the Studio's unique approach to design. Use legal and commercial experience to review, draft (with externallegal advisors and insurers) and negotiate design contracts and legaldocuments in order to agree suitable protection for the Studio in itsagreements with Clients and Consultants. Discuss commercial and contract issues internally and use judgement torecommend the correct resolution of issues. Monitor contract status of projects and raise relevant concernsincluding notifiable events. Prioritise and push for contract documentation to be agreed in atimely manner. Assist with resolution of contractual issues in order for the Studioto deliver its obligations or claims for additional services, supportingother teams and members of the Studio. Identify and implement process and/or efficiency improvements such assystemising the Studio's approach to contract and fee agreements.Your skills and experience: Proven track experience in carrying out commercial management for aninternational design studio. Solid experience in estimating design fees risks, opportunities and expenses. Good knowledge of the architecture industry and its business operation. Experience in handling intricate negotiations involving multiple stakeholders. Extremely familiar with the complexity of the role. Able to thinkstrategically, handle sensitive information and ensure confidentialityis indispensable. Effective project management skills to resolve complex issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Able to build goodrelationship with all stakeholders. Great attention to details, extremely organized and resilient to pressure. Excellent MS Office/computer skills, Adobe Creative Suite and InDesignis a huge plus.Training and Continuing Professional DevelopmentThe studio aims to attract and develop the best talent and create asupportive environment in which studio members can learn and develop.Training is provided to increase technical skills and to addressidentified professional development needs.Salary: 55,000 - 70,000Suitable applicants who are fluent in spoken and written English andable to work unrestricted in the UK should send their CVand portfolio tobe considered.
