I am working with a school in Darlington who are looking for a teaching assistant to work in their inclusion unit. The unit houses students who have been removed from mainstream lessons due to learning / behavioural difficulties. The role is full-time and will begin asap.

The main function of the role is to ensure that you engage students to ensure that they complete the set work. You will assist them in developing their skills to ensure that they can be reintegrated back into the mainstream school, as quickly as possible. You must have an out-going personality, the ability to build rapport quickly, be patient, firm and fair. A good general knowledge of secondary school subjects would be advantageous.
