In House Claims & Risk Manager
An excellent opportunity for an experienced claims or legal professional to join the In House Insurance team as the Claims and Risk Manager within a global retail organisation with a reputation that speaks for itself.
In this key role your core objective will be to direct strategy to reduce costs and lower the overall number of claims registered. This is not a technical claims handling role, claims are already handled by an outsourced claims management provider. You will however still need to display an excellent techncial knowledge of casualty claims as you will have full oversight of this across the business.
Your role will be to understand the types of claims, why there are losses and how can they be prevented in the future. Given the nature of the business claims are very biased towards Employers and Public Liability and therefore interested candidates should have a strong technical understanding of casualty claims and litigation.
You will work with key stakeholders and advise on progress with claims and settlement strategies, key trends and legal developments. You will be required to present at board level and manage the relationship with the claims management provider. This will mean you will need to lead on the provision of management information and reporting processes.
To be considered you will need significant experience of litigated personal injury, employers and public liability claims. You will probably consider yourself to be an expert. This experience can be gained from within an Insurer, Law Firm or similar in-house/risk management function.
You will have experience of analysing management information to implement claims strategies and initiatives to mitigate the future cost of claims. You will be focused and results driven and have strong analytical skills.
