I am currently recruiting for an extremely vibrant award winning company in Peterborough. My client are going through great change in their approach to their offerings, extending their already customer centric strategy in order to provide even better services.

Key responsibilities include:
+Management of infrastructure configuration including firewall, networks, servers, software install, licences and ensuring system availability meets business requirements.
+Execution of operational duties assigned, including server, storage, backup and power systems in the pursuit of maintaining IT business systems.
+Explores technology evolution and innovation in the market and how these can benefit our business, our operating models and how we provide insight on our performance.
+Contributor for the infrastructure architecture, design and operation. Supporting how it fits both the long term and short term needs of the business. Supporting alignment with the application architecture evolution.
+Engage with, develop and manage relationships between all key parties, departments and stakeholders across the business and in particular the outsourced Data Centre, Cloud and other Infrastructure service providers.
+ Have demonstrable experience of managing and delivering infrastructure for internal and external teams in fast moving real time environments.
+ Have demonstrable experience of Risk Analysis, delivering tasks within a project.
+ Be familiar with current industry trends and differing technologies and their merits including practical experience of WAN, LAN, Server, Storage, Wireless and virtualised components
+ Be familiar with technologies in consumer centric businesses including web, mobile and fulfilment technologies.
+ Ability to support/challenge business case/requirements.
+ Problem solving skills and resilience to issues and influences outside of his/her control
+ Proactive in bringing forward issues and opportunities, direct and persuasive when necessary.
+ Supportive with those learning and with sufficient controls to ensure progress is assured with the team and outsourced suppliers and partners.
+ Excellent team player, flexible, responsive, takes ownership and can work on the detail in a real time environment that requires out of hours work as necessary.
