Ongoing temporary role for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to support a large successful manufacturing organisation with an Accounts Payable project

Client Details

My client is a highly successful manufacturing organisation with sites across the UK. They have a current vacancy for a temporary Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to support in a project to review payment proposals to suppliers. The organisation operate from a large site based in Coalville and have modern open plan office space.

Description

The Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk role will involve:

  • Conducting reviews into the method of payment circa 250 suppliers are set up by
  • Identifying and making recommendations to Senior Management on which suppliers should not be set up by Direct Debit payments
  • Liaising with suppliers and sites to understand the reason suppliers are set up on Direct Debit payments
  • Review all documentation which permits direct debits to be set up and ensure any missing documentation is reported and obtained
  • Providing recommendations to management on the correct payment method suppliers should be paid under
  • Removing suppliers from Direct Debit payments where necessary and liaising with suppliers to set up new payment schedules

Profile

The successful candidate will have a wealth of exposure within Financial Accounts and ideally have worked in a senior Purchase Ledger capacity within a multi site organisation. You will be knowledgeable in all forms of supplier payments and understand the reasons Direct Debits are either required or not required for supplier payments and be able to provide suitable recommendations to senior management
