TO APPLY PLEASE ENSURE YOU ONLY DOWNLOAD, COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE JOB PACK AVAILABLE FROM The Director of Medical Education seeks to appoint a clinical simulation fellow post to work across multiple sites - Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Royal Alexandra Hospital and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital/Royal Hospital for Children campuses for one year in the first instance from August 2018. This post is aimed at any level of trainee and would be considered appropriate for out of programme experience. The Clinical Simulation Fellow will focus primarily on developing the organisation and provision of clinical simulation teaching to undergraduate medical students from Glasgow University. Pursuit of a qualification in medical education is encouraged and funding will be available to pursue this with Glasgow University. This unbanded post will have up to 12 hours per week to maintain clinical practice in the majority of specialities. The post does not attract banding but the successful candidate may register with NHSGGC Doctor Bank and perform out of hours sessions at the discretion of their supervisor. The successful candidate will be offered a one year fixed term appointment, which may be extended. You will be fully registered with the GMC with a current Licence to Practice, and must have completed Foundation training. Evidence of an interest in and an aptitude for teaching is essential and possession of a higher postgraduate qualification (eg MRCP, MRCS, FRCA) highly desirable.
