We require an experienced Anatomical Pathology Technician for a fixed term period of two years to assist the Mortuary Manager in the provision of a safe, secure, effective and comprehensive mortuary service for the needs of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Services and the wider community. The post is based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and involves a range of Mortuary associated tasks, including autopsy work, receipt and release of the deceased, liaising with funeral directors, assisting and advising bereaved families, cleaning and maintaining work environment and equipment, and completion of all required documentation. It is essential you are qualified to Royal Institute of Public Health (RSPH) Level 4 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology and have substantial experience in autopsy techniques and be able to demonstrate a high standard of reconstruction techniques. Demonstrable team working, organisational and time management skills are also required. The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
