FP&A Manager / Senior Finance Manager - SUPERB ROLE

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with one of the world’s most highly recognisable brands who have numerous divisions across the UK & Internationally. One of their European divisions is now looking to recruit a Senior FP&A/Finance Manager to help drive the required Group processes to deliver essential governance management information (MI), planning projections and key analysis to support effective business decision-making and performance enhancement. Key duties include:

• Delivering all internal governance MI to meet Group Finance requirements to agreed timetables
• Providing executive summaries for review by approved persons and governance committees
• Challenging the validity of governance MI in terms of accuracy, clarity and consistency to ensure that it provides fair and appropriate insight
• Supporting subject matter experts in identifying key trends as well as risks and opportunities to the business
• Supporting external regulatory reporting (eg, to the FCA), ensuring that reporting requirements are routinely captured in internal reporting.
• Leading the financial planning processes (including estimates, forecasts, budgets and strategy)
• Collating and consolidating all Group submissions in accordance with agreed timetables
• Ensuring that HQ reporting pertaining to planning is completed accurately and in a timely basis
• Developing models, systems and processes to fulfil all financial planning obligations, ensuring they are robust and performance against targets can be monitored
• Maintaining and improving monthly rolling forecasts to analyse expected performance
• Supporting the stress-testing exercise to determine possible outcomes of different financial situations
• Managing a team of 5 staff including MI analysts & trainee accountants
• Undertaking appropriate analysis to provide in depth explanation of key variances and sensitivities.
• Liaising with regulatory policy owners, Head of Finance for each Business Unit, Central Financial Control & Treasury teams

This is a great opportunity for a driven and commercially astute ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant to join an evolving and growing Financial Services related business in West London. You should ideally have experience in process management within a planning / reporting context, knowledge of regulatory reporting would be useful and you should have strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to manage a team including the ability to clearly articulate objectives and expectations to team members is required, whilst developing team competencies to meet those objectives and expectations.

Given the seniority of the position, you should have strong influencing skills, be able to challenge the status-quo with a view to process improvement and approach problems from different perspectives in order to propose and implement solutions. Strong IT skills, in particular Cognos, Excel and TM1 or similar would also be advantageous, as would a background in financial services and/or a Group Reporting function (although not essential).

On offer is a base salary up to £70,000 + 20% bonus, company car or £6,000 cash allowance, 25 days holiday, company pension & healthcare schemes, and other flexible benefits.
