JOB ROLE: Marketing Manager

JOB TYPE: Permanent /Full Time

COMPANY: A successful furniture design company

HOURS: 8:30am to 5:30pm

SALARY: £25,000 to £30,000

LOCATION: Walking distance from Barbican/Farringdon Station

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

EVENT MANAGEMENT

  • Concept, planning and delivery of UK events both showroom-based and external
  • Overseeing catering arrangements and managing guest list
  • Brief design team on invites, manage RSVP, attendance, door management
  • Arrange any additional staffing/security requirements
  • Liaising with team to manage content and product requirement
  • Capture, record and review larger events
  • Work with third party suppliers and venues

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

  • Work in sales force marketing cloud to distribute local B2C newsletters alongside global newsletter mailings - generating local content for newsletters for B2C contacts surrounding relevant
  • Work in sales force marketing cloud to share newsletter templates
  • Work to increase UK newsletter signups
  • Social Media: Generate & post local content and share geo-locally to UK on all platforms
  • Working with HQ for larger scale events to be posted on a global level
  • Working with dealers and partners to promote local projects

PRESS RELATIONS

  • Liaise and respond to media requests from editorial teams, freelance journalists and stylists with external PR agency - connect with and respond to needs of external PR agency
  • Manage the press clippings file / liaise with supplier / provide monthly reports to HQ & back to PR agency
  • Liaise with showroom manager and PR agency to arrange loans for photo-shoots
  • Assist with planning HQ press trips

CASE STUDY MANAGEMENT

  • Working to implement a system to manage the recording / filing / distribution of UK case studies
  • liaise with photographers and book shoots
  • manage and file case study details & images in system
  • Keep HQ up to date with quality references projects from the UK

BROCHURE, PRICELIST AND MARKETING GIFT-STOCK MANAGEMENT

  • Manage stock and ordering of brochures / price lists, as well as allocation of marketing gifts to clients
  • Order and monitor product factsheets / folders / additional brochures when instructed
  • Liaise with HQ regularly to be up to date with new publications or campaign tools
  • Order POS displays for showroom and participating dealers for campaigns

LEAD MANAGEMENT / CONTACT DATABASE

  • Work with receptionist to monitor and action leads, and entering leads into the database
  • Management of UK client database for events

ADVERTISING

  • Liaise with publishers from top titles to negotiate best print/digital advertising fee's to meet allocated advertising budget
  • Place orders for adverts with our central agency and sign off adverts before going to print

CAMPAIGNS / SALES TEAM SUPPORT

  • Support sales team on campaign acquisitions with dealers from a marketing perspective, connecting with relevant marketing heads at dealers to align activity for successful sell out
  • Support sales team on any ad hoc events and connect with relevant marketing heads at dealers and A&D practices to strength relationships

BUDGETS

  • Manage UK Marketing budget ensuring all activities are completed on budget as planned
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best possible costs for all events and activities.
  • Process any marketing invoices with accounts and ensure a detailed log is kept providing monthly updates of YTD costs

GENERAL DAILY BUSINESS

  • Attending industry events for relationship building
  • Host student group showroom visitors
  • Proof reading text from HQ
  • Assist in preparation for internal meetings - sales / team meetings
  • Occasional travel to Switzerland / trade fairs for marketing /PR/Press meetings
  • Occasional evenings to support showroom events

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to events management
  • Basic PR Experience
  • Service minded and self motivated team player
  • Committed and positive attitude
  • Appreciation of design
  • Proficient in Word, Excel PowerPoint is required, with a desirability of basic In Design knowledge
  • Strong telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skill
