An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the Primary Care Palliative Care Team. This role involves providing the leadership and vision to progress the Palliative and End of Life Care Agenda across Greater Glasgow and Clyde, appreciating the individual and collective needs within the existing Sectors. This Band 7 post requires an experienced nurse to plan, organise and facilitate Palliative and End of Life Care Education and Training. This would promote integrated working and collaboration with other disciplines providing an enhanced contribution of a wider range of Health and Social Care staff in the delivery of effective Palliative and End of Life Care. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, teaching experience, exceptional planning and organisational skills and be able to work independently, and be able to use your own initiative and be an effective member of the team. It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with substantial post registration experience and have a Post Registration Qualification in District Nursing or relevant district nursing experience together with a Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Palliative / Cancer Care (or currently working towards or be willing to work towards within 12 months).
