Our client is based in Leeds; and is a specialist neuro behavioural rehabilitation centre for people with acquired brain injury. It was one of the first assessment and rehabilitation centres for brain injury in the UK. They assess and provide rehabilitation primarily for service users with an Acquired Brain Injury using the Neuro-behavioural model of social rehabilitation.

As one of their Occupational Therapists, the successful candidate will manage a caseload of service users with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behaviour, using evidence based/service user centred principles and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention.

The successful candidate will be committed to continuous professional development and will work flexibly, responding to the changing needs and circumstances of service users, working as a member of the inter-disciplinary team and contributing to overall treatment objectives agreed in the rehabilitation plan.

Job Description:

*To provide Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment for individual clients.
*To be involved in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client programmes in conjunction with other members of the Team.
*To undertake home assessments and rehabilitation programmes.
*To plan and run therapeutic group treatment programmes according to client need.
*To apply clinical reasoning, knowledge, skills and problem solving within the specialist area of brain injury.
*To prepare and present reports as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

*Full HCPC registration
*Be experienced in working with adults with cognitive, physical and behavioural difficulties
*Be able to work autonomously to provide specialist assessment and treatment to this complex and challenging service user group
*Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
*Be committed to your own professional development
*The ability to work in a busy, challenging environment is essential
