Assistant E & I Engineer
GEM Partnership are proud to be working with a leading process manufacturing organisation with over 20 global locations including their North East site which is the focus of this advert.
They currently have an open requirement for an Assistant IE (Instrument/Electrical) Engineer to be based at their North East plant in Cleveland. This is a permanent position within a global business where career stability, progression and ongoing support can be achieved.
As the Assistant IE (Instrument/Electrical) Engineer you will be responsible for a wide range of regular planned and reactive maintenance across a large process plant.
General duties will include managing IE Technicians during shutdowns, assisting the lead engineer with rationalising IE routines, assisting during planned project works, controlling and managing EHS critical routines such as proof testing, LV drive inspections etc.
To be fully successful in your role of Assistant IE Engineer you will have a strong background in proving electrical and instrumentation support within a plant based environment.
You will also feel comfortable working within multi-disciplined teams and be a time served IE technician/engineer with full electrical qualifications.
This role will be based on a COMAH regulated site where hazardous chemicals and processes will be in play at all times.
A keen understanding and observation of health and safety processes and procedures will be an essential part of your role as Assistant IE Engineer.
