Claims Operations Manager sought to oversee the operational support activities of a Claims Department and provide management reporting for the claims function.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team to support the claims activities and management reporting over KPIs, service levels and customer feedback.
Oversee the first notice of loss activities to ensure all claims notifications are recorded timely, reviewed against live policy information and allocated promptly to relevant claims handler.
Prepare monthly and weekly MI, together with commentary against trends compared to target or comparative periods.
Set annual objectives for each team member and perform timely performance reviews.
Support the Claims Manager in raising awareness and market profile of the Claims function.
Adopt a continuous approach to improvement and innovation, seeking to identify areas where process improvements for efficiency and accuracy can be implemented.
Contribute towards the Claims Department strategy, business plan and to the setting of standards and targets
Designing and implementation of new regulations into claims workflow (internal).

Candidate requirements:
Proven experience of managing a team, ideally within a complex matrix organisation.
Knowledge of the property insurance industry.
Excellent written skills, ability to draft and create process maps and procedural documentation and "user friendly" management reports.
Partial or completed ACII Qualifications preferred.
