Senior Finance Manager - Internal Controls - Surrey - £70,000

Have you developed your career through one of the Big 4 accountancy firms? Have you operated at Audit Manager or Senior Manager Level and developed a strong understanding of audit controls? Are you looking to make your first move out of practice and into industry? If so, I have an excellent opportunity for you to work for a global organisation and shape and develop their internal controls environment.

You will be part of a very high profile and high performing team who work extensively to build senior level relationships across the group. Your internal stakeholders will include Regional Finance Directors as well as the various finance teams in those countries.

So what will you be doing?

Primarily, you will be providing oversight of Divisional accounting processes, looking at group level policies and procedures and ensure that these are rolled out and embedded across all business units. You will drive group wide projects focused around financial controls and where necessary will look to rationalise and simplify group reporting structures.

It's a high profile role that will see you delivering business critical work. You may be involved in exploring business cases for internal investment as well as Capex Appraisals. You are also likely to be a key figure when it comes to the quarter end and year end reporting requirements.

So who are you?

You are a true upper quartile professional. You will be proud of going to one of the best universities in the UK and you will have qualified for your ACA through one of the Big 4. More than that, you will have achieved rapid progression through to the management grades and you'll be the go to person for advice around financial controls. You'll understand controls frameworks such as SOX and you will be able to comfortably navigate the differences between USGAAP, UKGAAP and IFRS.

You are likely to have between 2-4 years PQE and be on a strong upward trajectory in your career. More than this though you'll be a natural networker and someone who has the ability to influence at a C-suite level. You'll be ambitious, someone who expects to be at the top table in a global £multi-billion business in the future.
