Reed Finance are currently supporting a fast paced business in the Leeds area in the search for an Internal Auditor to cover a period of maternity leave of between 10-12 months. Full-time ideally however part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

We are looking for an objective Internal Auditor to add value and improve our clients operations by helping to establish or improve existing controls and processes. As well as generating business ‘buy in’ to Internal Audit by explaining impacts of observed controls and jointly implementing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and auditing as well as a professional certification.

• To progress the annually agreed audit plans for 2018/19.
• Following up on previous audits and reporting on them.
• Collaboration with Group Internal Audit department.
• Testing systems and the evaluation of risks and controls.
• Help functions to resolve internal control issues.
• Develop new audit programs.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Help take Internal Audit forward through new techniques and implementations.

• CIA or Accountancy (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) qualifications preferred.
• Good project management skills, enabling you to deliver work to tight, agreed deadlines.
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clear report writer.
• You will need to be objective and unbiased in your role, using critical thinking and demonstrating strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity in all your work.
• In addition to being familiar with Microsoft Office tools, you will have some experience of analysing data and data mining.
• Experienced internal auditor with proven record of gaining business involvement and generating control improvements.
