What we do

BAI Claims Services works with the UK’s leading insurers, manufacturers, construction companies and other corporates in handling industrial disease claims pre-litigation. BAI Claims Services handles a variety of different industrial disease claims ranging from Noise Induced Hearing Loss to Asbestosis and Mesothelioma for Run Off insurers. BAI Claims Services are responsible for liaising with policyholders, both claimant and defendant solicitors and other insurers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Correspond with claimant solicitors on a daily basis to progress all claims in their allocation
  • Correspond with other defendants and insurers
  • To effectively manage own workload in line with the company’s compliance policy
  • Assessing medical evidence and reports
  • Investigating all elements of a claim including Limitation, Breach, Causation and Damages
  • Correspond with our corporate department to ensure policy cover is established
  • Attending training courses to further expand knowledge
  • Liaise with Panel firms on litigated files

Job-Related Experience, Qualifications and Skills


  • 6 GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including Maths and English Language
  • Aptitude for IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and use of the internet
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and priortise daily workload
  • Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team orientated environment
  • Strong team player
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Desire to develop new skills and commitment to learning


  • Law Degree - LLB or GDL 2.2 or Cilex level 2 (not essential but preferable)
  • Previous experience handling own caseload
  • Previous experience within Employers Liability and Industrial disease

Other information

  • 35 hours per week
