Allied Health Professions Practice Education Lead
22.5 hrs (0.6 WTE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take a lead role in supporting the educational needs of the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) workforce across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. As part of the AHP practice education team the post holder will help lead the development of the workplace as a sustainable, quality learning environment for all staff (Registered AHPs, pre-registration students, support workers and staff "returning to practice") working across all care settings within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. Working as part of a team the post holder will take part in planning, prioritising and allocating workload, including designing and organising work based learning activities which may require continual change and adjustment in response to current or emerging policy. You will work with a range of stakeholders across all care settings within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Golden Jubilee National Hospital, NHS Education for Scotland and multi-agency partners. You will be one of a network of AHP Practice Education Leads employed in each health board across Scotland.

" You can demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and inter personal skills

" You can demonstrate experience in supporting health professions in work based learning and have maintained continuing professional development [CPD] relevant to AHP practice education

" You are a qualified AHP and registered with the HCPC

" You have Masters qualification or can demonstrate the equivalent e.g. a critical understanding of the theories and principles in education, application of critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis, autonomy and initiative.
