To support resident activities to enhance daily life and maximise independence and physical and mental wellbeing.
- To support the delivery of personalised care for each resident through the development and delivery of tailored activity programmes.
- In association with clinical staff, to continually monitor residents' mental status and cognitive abilities, and amend activities accordingly to maximum beneficial effect.
Ensure that a personalized approach to resident care is taken and that activities plans are reviewed and updated in accordance with the unique needs of each individual as required.
Develop effective relationships with residents' families / advocates to ensure an inclusive approach to planning of residents' activities.
Establish and develop links in the local community (e.g. schools, churches, museums, sports clubs, voluntary groups, etc) to enrich and vary style and content of activities programmes within and outside the Home.
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, regulations and statutory provisions in the effective operation of the Home.
Promote health and safety in the Home ensuring a safe environment for residents, employees and visitors, complying will Company health and safety policy.
Participate in periodic care plan audits and work collaboratively with colleagues continually to improve delivery of personalised care.
Report immediately any instance of suspected abuse, malpractice or other concern to senior staff and ensure details fully and clearly are documented.
Ensure that Company policies are satisfied with respect to the security and safety of residents' possessions.
Support the maintenance of the physical condition of the Home, ensuring the building is clean and consistently of a high standard of appearance following any atcivities undertaken.
