Your new company

Your new Pupil Referral Unit in the Wirral are currently looking to recruit for a rewarding behavioural youth mentor job starting ASAP. The school promotes the importance of respect, responsibility and resilience.

Your new role

The school need a behavioural youth mentor to help increase the maximum learning potential of students with challenging behaviour. Your role as a behavioural youth mentor will require you to work alongside the school's teachers to support and deliver learning activities, facilitate effective learning and promote a happy school environment for the child. The challenges you will face day to day mean you must be a dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) and challenging behaviour and the desire to have a positive impact on building good relationships with staff and students.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have recent and relevant experience as a youth mentor, support worker or teaching assistant either in a voluntary or paid capacity with SEND and EBD students. You must also have a passion for working with SEND students and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You must also be aware of the key competencies that are expected to go along with working with children with SEND and challenging behaviours.
