Job Title: Test Analyst
Location: Penner Road, Havant
Salary: £30,432 - £40,190 depending on skills and experience
Permanent| Full Time Hours
The Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) team based in Havant predominantly test projects that have come through the retail IT release management process. This often results in changes being needed to but not limited to the following applications; CS, GiFT, Masus and DFMS.
As Test Analyst you will be expected to manage a team of Junior Test Analysts through a rigorous checkpoint process ensuring delivery of a quality product. You must ensure thorough analysis, planning and preparation of changes takes place, prior to orchestrating testing across all projects.
It is essential to have an overview of all change and how different projects will impact various business areas. With this knowledge, you will steer the BAT strategy, strengthening relationships with other business areas whilst maintaining a commitment to continual improvement. You will manage and maintain key performance indicators, the day to day running of BAT, planning of future work and development of those within your team. Reporting on progress to key stakeholders; Senior Management, Project Managers, IT and the Business is essential. The ability to make decisions with the customer’s interest at heart and the ability to translate technical terms into simplistic language is essential to make sure all communication is transparent.
Your Skills and Experience
The critical skills required for this role include; the ability to manage a team and their work and acting as their point of escalation. You must be comfortable working to tight deadlines and delivering under pressure whilst maintaining quality output. A keen eye to detail is a must as well as the ability to multi-task and work methodically with a demanding and ever-changing workload. A flexible approach to work is needed as you will need to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Emotional intelligence is essential ensuring conflict is managed and resolved, delivering the best outcome for our customers and end users. The successful candidate will have strong personal integrity, if it’s not right for our customers we don’t do it. It is essential that the candidate is a leader with the ability to take others with them. Excellent MS Office skills is a must especially when using Excel and knowledge of QMF and SQL as well as testing experience. Furthermore an ISTQB qualification is preferable.
