Lead the EMEA PR program with country
specific, but globally aligned, programs that increase Gartner’s share of voice
among VIP journalists in target media outlets; manage PR Manager, manage PR
agency relationships, execute Events PR plans; write press releases & brand
journalism articles; communicate media coverage.

  • Lead the EMEA PR planning process to
    develop country specific, but globally aligned, programs that increase
    Gartner’s share of voice among VIP journalists in target media outlets.
  • Manage the EMEA PR agency to meet
    specific objectives outlined in the EMEA PR plan
  • Manage PR agency partners in EMEA to
    meet specific objectives outlined in Events PR Plans for specific countries
  • Lead objective setting for and manage
    activities of PR Manager for EMEA
  • Build and maintain relationships with a
    defined list of top target journalists and editors in EMEA coverage for Gartner
    in identified target media outlets (online, print, broadcast)
  • Lead planning, creation and execution
    of EMEA Events PR plan, including: writing and disseminating press
    releases& brand journalism articles; creating media pitches; updating and
    communicating the PR plan with Events stakeholders; managing exhibitor PR
    requests; disseminating media coverage
  • Create proactive PR materials,
    including: press releases; media pitches; contributed articles, brand
    journalism articles
  • Complete general PR administrative
    tasks flawlessly, including reports
  • Building awareness of the Gartner brand
    among prospects shortens the sales cycle by 21% - PR is the main brand
    promotion activity undertaken by Gartner
  • Increase media coverage and share of
    voice among targeted journalists in EMEA by providing a professional, courteous
    and responsive press office function
  • Promote Gartner directly to target
    prospects in select strategic markets as the authority on key issues facing
    CIOs, IT leaders, Marketing leaders and Supply Chain executives
  • Increase awareness of research and
    marketing themes, programs and initiatives in order to drive prospect
    registrations on
  • Effectively promote Gartner Events in
    order to drive attendee registration and support requests from Event exhibitors
    to support sponsorship renewals
  • Research analysts, Gartner Events,
    journalists, global PR team, Research operations
Job Requirements:


  • BA in either PR, communications,
    journalism or related field
  • 5+ year experience in PR, either
    in-house or PR agency
  • Advanced writing and professional
    communications skills essential
  • Maturity to collaborate with and
    influence others in a complex, matrix organization (critical)
  • Knowledge of media landscape in EMEA
