The job:

Operating in an Agile Scrum environment, the QA Analyst’s primary focus is to work closely with the delivery teams to mitigate the risk of software failure and provide business confidence that changes to new and existing systems meet user expectations in terms of quality, functionality and performance.

QA Analysts will be expected to advise on project test strategy, plan test approaches, design, write and execute tests and analyse the results to assess and prove that new software is ready to be released based on agreed requirement specifications.

In addition to functional system testing, the QA will train, support and manage the business users in the creation, development and execution of user acceptance test scripts.

What you will do:

  • Defining project level QA approach
  • Driving, coordinating and managing programme level QA activity
  • Progressing and reporting against plan
  • Risk identification, analysis and mitigation

What we are looking for:

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in Quality Assurance and project delivery. Candidates will have a thorough understanding of Quality Assurance best practice and industry techniques and development methodologies.

Successful delivery in an effective Agile Scrum environment and ISEB/ISTQB qualifications are highly desirable as is the provision of support throughout the change lifecycle covering the full range of operational activities including training and coaching non-technical staff in testing methodologies

A strong understanding of SQL, ETL/Data Warehouse testing would be advantageous.

Core hours will be 9-5, Monday - Friday. Occasional evening/weekend hours may be required to support software release activity.
