My client is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to join their London Accountancy team. If you have a good base of accounting knowledge but are looking for a role and company where you can hone and develop your skills, then this opportunity is for you. This is a role with growth prospects, where you will work closely with other members of our global finance team, whilst being responsible for the accounts for the UK business.

Description

As the Senior Finance Assistant your duties will include:

  • Preparing monthly budgets and forecasts
  • Reviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified and addressed
  • Processing monthly payroll & managing human resource tasks
  • Preparing and paying various company tax obligations
  • Preparation of annual budgets
  • Assisting with annual financial audit
  • Assist with lodgement of annual company tax return
  • Assisting with annual business insurance renewals
  • Assisting with accounts receivable and payable functions
  • Manage quarterly VAT returns for UK & monthly VAT returns for Germany
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • General office administration
  • Carry out other duties as required

Profile

As the Senior Finance Assistant you will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • 2 years working in a finance specific role
  • Worked across a broad range of accounting tasks, meeting multiple deadlines and prioritising activities
  • Worked with Microsoft Excel and Word

Job Offer

£28,000 - £30,000 + Benefits
