I am delighted to be representing a fantastic and dynamic school that provides education, care and medical support for people of all ages who have a range of complex needs ranging from MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) to PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.)

The organisation has a strong sense of care and compassion for people with learning disabilities, giving a high profile to supporting and enabling people to develop their skills and participate in meaningful activities that reflect their abilities, wishes and needs.

They are looking to recruit a vibrant, experienced and engaging LSA to join their established multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be required to work with a range of ages (from Year 5 to Year 10) in small groups of 6 - 10 and will support children with MLD, PMLD and Autism. The postholder will be expected to offer a level of personal care.

Many of the learners at this school have difficulty with communication, are non-verbal and need high levels of support in all areas. You must have experience of working with children and young adults requiring this level of care.

Applicants must have:

- Previous SEND experience, working within an PMLD, SLD, MLD environment
- A desire to help, support and nurture children who have various SEN
- Experienced in supporting children who exhibit challenging behaviours

This in an amazing opportunity for the right person who really wants to thrive in a warm and friendly atmosphere and strongly support in an environment where children feel safe, secure and happy, enabling them to get the best possible educational experience, allowing them to thrive by being themselves.

If you have experience and a passion for working with young people with PMLD needs, please do get in touch with Kat Lyons you can call on or email
