SEN Teacher/Lead Teacher
Salary £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
Post - Full time (37.25hrs); 44 week contract; employer pension scheme.
A unique chance for qualified teachers to shape, influence, and deliver a unique education provision for 12 statemented 11-16 year olds in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Novaturient School is a small Independent School, with a focus on children with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. All students within the school have individualised learning plans based on an of the box creative curriculum, tailored to the needs of each student. We work with some of the hardest to engage young people across Norfolk. The role will be a challenging but rewarding one that gives the right candidate the ability to change lives and influence the way forward.
We are looking for someone with an open mind that can identify individual strengths and use creative techniques to interpret the curriculum. An understanding of Individual Health Care Plan will be of benefit or relevant experience of working with special educational needs. This role requires you to have had experience in teaching hard to reach young people, switching them back on to learning and successfully leading the students through accreditation and inspiring them for the future.
Knowledge of City & Guilds Functional Skills would be helpful alongside an energy and enthusiasm to bring learning to life.
The successful candidate will:
- Create and Lead engaging lessons in accordance with the philosophy and working ethos of the school and all relevant legislation/regulation, meeting the Independent School Standards.
- Ensure the achievement of excellent educational delivery that is assessed, achieved and recorded.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children including behaviour management.
