Excellent opportunity for 2 experienced Senior or Principal Level Structural Engineers to join an award winning building engineering and design practice on a permanent basis in Nottinghamshire. Our client has a wealth of knowledge and experience providing expert engineering and technical design services to a variety of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Healthcare and Education. Due to an increasing workload, they are seeking 2 enthusiastic Structural Engineers to join their expert team.

The selected candidates will have a variety of roles and responsibilities, which will include:

  • Delivering accurate structural engineering solutions
  • Managing a group of Engineers and Revit/CAD Technicians
  • Preparing design reports and reviewing work of the team
  • Participating in project meetings
  • Attending site-visits
  • Liaising with key stakeholders including the client and contractor
  • Training and mentoring junior team members

Essential skills, experience and attributes:

  • Experience designing and assessing various forms in main materials including concrete, steel, timber and masonry
  • Degree educated in a relevant subject
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Ability to run projects and direct a project team
  • Confident communicator
  • Chartered Engineering status with MIStructE or MICE
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines
  • Specific experience within industrial or commercial building developments
