We require Mortuary Assistants to work across various sites in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde with the base site being the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The main duties are dealing with the receipt, removal and transfer of deceased, preparing the deceased for viewing and organising and conducting viewings with relatives and completing all paperwork for release of deceased to Funeral Directors. These positions will involve lone working under indirect supervision. It is essential you have higher grade level (3 Highers at Grade C) or above, or be qualified to HNC/SVQ III or equivalent relevant qualification. You must also possess good literacy and numeracy skills, good time management and organisational skills, excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills and demonstrable knowledge of confidentiality and Data Protection policies. You should also have experience of working with the public, preferably in a hospital environment, and should ideally have experience of working with the deceased. 24/7 shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am, 8.30am-4.30pm as part of a rotation) or 37.5 hours worked over a shift pattern including Monday to Friday 8.30-4.30pm /12-8pm and Saturday working (4 hours) on rotation.
