This is an opportunity for a newly qualified HCPC registered Healthcare scientist to work in a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Tayside, South Grampian and NHS Fife.

The Blood Sciences Department is based on two sites at Ninewells Hospital, a large Teaching Hospital and Medical School, Dundee and Perth Royal Infirmary, Perth. The Immunology section is based solely at Ninewells Hospital.

We are looking for a member of staff that can demonstrate team spirit, initiative, flexibility and has the enthusiasm to train further. You will be working in a recently redesigned state of the art laboratory with Flow Cytometry using the Becton Dickinson FACS Canto for Immunophenotyping, Indirect Immunofluorescence assays using the Werfen Quantalyser system with Quantalink software, Allergy and Autoimmunity using the Phadia ImmunoCAP 250 analysers, as well as a range of semi automated and manual assays, including ELISA and Fluorescent Microscopy.

The department has an established team of Clinical, Scientific and Technical staff. We are looking to train up a keen and enthusiastic new member of staff. Post qualification professional development is encouraged and supported.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Graduates who are currently studying for their Registration Portfolio may be considered for this post.

Post qualification professional development is encouraged and supported. On attaining appropriate competences you will join the roster for the Out of Hours sessions which will include some weekend, evening and overnight duties.
