About the role

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Marketing Manager to get involved in a wide range of activities with our Business Development team. You will have the responsibility to set up our marketing strategy and will be central to our growth ambitions for 2018 and beyond. You will be a key member of the business development team. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our marketing activity delivers value in several areas and will work closely with sales leads and the business development team to draw on their market knowledge, however knowledge of at least one of our target markets would be an advantage. Experience working with private and public sector is pivotal to succeed in this role.

We are able to support our clients through the full life cycle from strategy creation, business design and transformation delivery.

What you will do:

Communicate and establish our credibility and offer to the market; developing and managing our calling cards - short repeatable pieces of work - amongst other things

Ensure via event and media planning that our ideas and our people are in the right places to connect with key influencers in our chosen sectors

Robustly manage and measure the early sales pipeline of market entry through to lead generation - or the point where it will hand over to the sales process.

Brand positioning for CT in our chosen markets including sourcing of market intelligence / analysis

Collaboration with corporate and other divisional marketing teams to make the most of the relationships that the wider Capita business has with industry and media bodies

Development of marketing collateral for example white papers, calling cards, case studies and other key selling tools and management of our proposition development process flowing from this collateral

Commissioning of copy editing and design work to support the development of marketing collateral

Coordinating an events diary, ensuring that that we are the places where our target clients gather

Social media marketing to communicate and target key messages and collateral; focusing on LinkedIn and Twitter as well as the CT external facing webpages

Supporting our bid writing activity where necessary to reinforce key messages in our sales process

Coordinating our partnership/sponsorship activities including analysts and MCA relationship

Your experience will include:

Degree (2:1 or higher) or equivalent qualification

Previous experience in a B2B marketing role

Knowledge of UK Consulting & private sector market

Research and analytical skills

Project management skills

Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

Proven ability to present complex information in an easily understandable way in plain English and avoiding unnecessary jargon

Good IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software packages

Experience of at least one of the following areas; social media marketing, event planning and organisation, either commissioning or originating marketing collateral
