Accounts Assistant - Payroll
About the Client:
Market leading company is looking to recruit a Payroll Clerk to join a supportive Finance Team covering maternity on a 12month contract.
Reporting into an experienced Finance Manager your responsibilities will include;
To ensure receipt of weekly timesheets from all managers, checking and raising any anomalies with site management before correctly transferring information onto OpenPeople for payroll purposes.
To input holidays, sickness and absence information onto time and attendance system to ensure correct payment and reporting outcomes
Produce weekly payroll costing information for accounts system and managers
Set up new starter files checking all required information is included on forms, remove leavers files and archive as required
Administer the credit control function for a limited portfolio of clients (telephone and email), ensuring debtor balances are minimised and highlighting any concerns immediately to the Finance Manager
To provide cover for the Purchase Ledger and Payroll teams and assist with any telephone queries
Departmental filing and archiving
To complete any other ad hoc duties as required
Experience of dealing with Payroll
Self motivated and ability to work under pressure
A solid working knowledge of Excel
