Trainee Financial Planner (Employee Benefits)

Location: Altrincham

Salary: £30,000

Our Client is a leading and one of the most credible firms of Chartered Financial Planners in the North West and now has an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, professional and Diploma Qualified Trainee Financial Planner, to join their large team in the heart of Altrincham.

As Trainee Financial Planner you will be assisting the Employee Benefit Consultant to provide an all-round service to clients in line with the requirements of the Company policies. Providing pension scheme analysis, detailed research of funds and providers, report writing and product recommendations for presentation to clients; additional daily duties will consist of;

Daily duties will consist of;

  • Provide technical support and back up to the Employee Benefit Consultant
  • To provide assistance to the paraplanning team when workload dictates for all consultants
  • Facilitate all advice within a strict ethical and compliance framework and under supervision of the Employee Benefit Consultant
  • Deal with client and provider queries to completion via the telephone or in writing
  • To conduct group scheme meetings with clients referred by the Company in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ensuring your technical knowledge is kept up to date and that CPD records are filed monthly for compliance purposes
  • Providing clear work requests to allow back office to support your client bank effectively whilst following processes
  • Developing a robust review process for clients and ensuring that service is delivered in line with the agreed fee / retainer / service level
  • Ensuring that internal systems are used effectively and accurately, and that client detail is recorded and kept up to date

Requirements

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Experience of employee benefits
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous relevant industry experience (Sales Support / Paraplanning / previous advisory experience)
  • Ability to build relationships with consultants and ensure an effective relationship is maintained
  • Intermediate skills in Intelligent Office
