Contracts Flooring Manager

Full Time & Permanent (Monday - Friday - 8am - 5.30pm)

Salary: Competitive/Negotiable (based on experience)

Location: Gateshead (North East)

The person will need have skills to match the following requirements

  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team to deliver success and exceptional customer service

  • Ability to think out of the box, at short notice, to resolve daily workloads, customer enquiries and any complaints

  • Ability to seek new opportunities and take them from enquiries to orders

  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team to ensure contractual obligations are achieved, budgets maintained or exceeded and customer satisfaction meets or exceeds expectations

  • Ability to manage multi skilled personnel

  • Ability to manage multi-level customer relationships

  • Diligent, knowledgeable and skilled in working with figures, measurements and plans to price jobs and maintain profit margins

The position will require skills to match the following business requirements

  • This position will only suit a proactive individual who can successfully lead a team to constantly deliver / exceed customer expectations

  • You will need to be articulate, calm, intelligent and a multi tasker to be able to succeed in this role

  • You will bring with you knowledge of customer relationship management, processes to track and monitor performance, costs and customer satisfaction.

  • This is not a desk job, you will need to roll your shelves up and get stuck in, to understand how each part of the business / process functions and be prepared to make changes where necessary to ensure milestones are achieved.

  • Handle multi-tier customer relationships

  • Handle increase in workloads at short notice

The candidate will come from a background of

  • Leadership within a multi skilled business

  • An industry where fluctuations in workloads occur frequently

  • An SME background where you lead a team, manage customers directly and deliver success

  • Not necessarily a flooring background as full training will be provided

The ideal candidate for this role will be an energetic person who can hit the ground running, is articulate, professional, diligent and ambitious.
