There is now a vacancy for an Electronics Production Engineer to join a leading electronics organisation in north Kent. Salary package for the Electronics Production Engineer is c£23,000-£29,000 + company benefits. Role works standard Mon-Fri days (no shifts involved). There are good opportunities for career progression.

Experience within an electronics / PCB and surface mount sector is preferred.

Electronics Production Engineer - Job Function:

  • To take responsibility for the quality of products and processes
  • To drive through change to ensure company can continue to produce world class standard products and services
  • Close liaison with other departments including purchasing, manufacturing and quality

Electronics Production Engineer - Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Second line support and troubleshooting of production breakdown issues
  • Establish continuous improvement programs through analysis of KPI data
  • Advise on new manufacturing techniques and prepare payback justifications for new capital expenditure
  • Analyse performance and liaise with Quality to investigate trends and recommend process improvements
  • Responsible for all manufacturing processes throughout the business
  • Daily problem solving of assembly processes using root cause analysis
  • Creation & control of production machine programs and processes
  • Creation & control of manufacturing documentation
  • Produce detailed assembly costs for new product opportunities
  • Work within and encourage others in company 5S program

Electronics Production Engineer - Person Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SMT (surface mount technology) / SMD (surface mount devices) required
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing / process improvement role
  • Understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP and MPS)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, dealing with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Hands-on approach to all tasks
  • Good time management skills and organisational skills
