**Category Manager (non ICT) - 6 months contract - £425 day rate Umbrella (IR35 InScope) OR £338 day rate PAYE -Government Agency - London**

Our client is a division which is part of Central Government department based in London who are looking for an Interim Procurement/ Category Manager who specialises in non ICT/ IT to join their management team on a 6 months contract.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering and managing national non ICT category requirements, supporting the development of category strategies for all relevant expenditure both internally and externally ensuring category management processes are in place that enables the assessment of the market capabilities to meet the needs of users and the business. You will be accountable for assessing current strategies, cost data and commodity profiles and business needs, in order to convert gathered intelligence into a proposed strategy to leverage best possible value for assigned categories. Captures future demand information and continually reviews changes in the marketplace and industry to reflect these changes within an adapting category strategy.

Ideal experience required for this role:
MCIPS or CIPS qualified is advantageous
Previous Category or Procurement Management experience or equivalent
Expert in non ICT categories and market knowledge
Strong procurement understanding and knowledge of standard sourcing methodologies
Ideally have experience working within the Defence, Public and/or Government sector
Excellent understanding of contract management and supplier relationship management process
Knowledge of procurement systems such as e-tendering suites and ERP systems is advantageous
Exceptional strategies and negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills including financial analysis and ability to price models
Financial acumen skills
Stakeholder management experience.
Exceptional communication skills
Excellent IT systems knowledge and experience

Must be SC clearable as this will be a requirement for this position
