SALARY: £26,830 to £35,933 pro-rata

HOURS: As required – bank

Description of Role:

Sexual Health D&G is an innovative and expanding service within NHS D&G. To help us continue to improve and maintain our current service we are advertising for a Band 6, Sexual Health Nurses – Bank based in Dumfries and Stranraer.

The post holders will manage clients within the department in all aspects of sexual health including, contraception, sexually transmitted infections and participate in partner notification.

The successful applicant will be a Registered General Nurse / Midwife, possess a Post Graduate Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health Care, have some experience of working within the sexual health setting and ideally hold a NMP qualification.

They will also require: -

 Excellent communications skills

 Good interpersonal and organisational skills

 A non judgemental attitude

 A high degree of motivation towards CPD

 Ability to work as part of a team

 Flexible working

 Valid driving license

There will be an induction programme to the department with help and support provided by senior clinical staff as required.
